Initial Findings

As the 2nd round of wear and tear photos start to come in from our testers it’s time to start detailing what the group have found when when wearing their running shirts.

I’ll quickly recap the group of 8. We have good mix - Starting with our “level 5” crazy runners, some intermediates and beginners. Men and Women. Road and trail. Parkrun, Triathlon, Ultras and everything in between. The group were all given one running shirt and asked to use it as they please. In tracking their use our testers are surveyed and asked to supply wear and tear photos at regular intervals.

Our testers rated the shirts out of 5 for the below criteria after 30 days and we will survey the testers again at 6 months and 12 months to ensure the shirts continue to perform.

We also asked the testers to give general feedback about their experiences with the shirt after 30 days. 6 of the 8 teters made comments.

We had generally positive comments with a mixture of positive and negative. It’s worth noting many issues were we expect are easily fixed with better sizing and different cuts of the shirt (tank, singlet, long sleeved etc)

What did we find?

  1. Two testers noted shirts washed well and design prints whilst showing a small amount of wear from hydration vests still maintained colours and design

  2. We found the women’s sizing to be more generous than expected. This aligns we what we have found in customer feedback as well.

  3. One of our WA testers noted some nipple chafing on runs longer than 25 kms

  4. One of our QLD testers rated the shirt as cooler than any of his running singlets

  5. One of WA testers noted that a long sleeve version would be the preference for running in winter. The tshirt cut was not enough.

More to come. What’s thenext.run?
